Chocolate French Toast

  1. In a well greased 13x9-inch baking dish, arrange 6 slices bread.
  2. Sprinkle over chopped chocolate.
  3. Top with remaining slices.
  4. In a large bowl, beat eggs slightly.
  5. Whisk in orange juice, butter, sugar, evaporated milk and vanilla.
  6. Pour over bread.
  7. Let stand 30 minutes.
  8. Bake in a preheated 350F oven for 45 minutes, or until puffed and lightly browned.
  9. Let stand 10 minuted before serving.
  10. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
  11. Serve with orange sections.
  12. TIPS: Assemble, cover and refrigerate overnight (butter will harden, but will melt during cooking).
  13. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes before baking.
