Chinese Spare Ribs Recipe

  1. Boil spareribs in a large pot for 45 min.
  2. While ribs are parboiling, mix remaining ingredients in a large pan (marinade).
  3. Put boiled ribs into marinade and let marinate for 2 hrs, turning after 1 hour.
  4. Broil ribs on grill or possibly in oven, coating each side with honey.
  5. Watch ribs - as they begin to crisp, turn and baste again.
  6. When marinade begins to brown, the ribs are done.
  7. NOTE: If you don't want to parboil ribs first, bake them at 250 degrees for 40 min, 350 degrees for 20 min, and 400 degrees for 5 min.
  8. Serve with rice.
