SURE.JELL for Less or No Sugar Needed Recipes - Blackberry Freezer Jam

  1. Rinse 6 clean plastic containers and lids with boiling water.
  2. Dry thoroughly.
  3. Crush blackberries thoroughly, one layer at a time.
  4. Sieve half the blackberries to remove seeds, if desired.
  5. Measure exactly 4 cups prepared fruit into large bowl.
  6. Mix sugar and pectin in medium saucepan.
  7. Stir in water.
  8. Bring to boil on medium-high heat, stirring constantly.
  9. Cook and stir 1 min.
  10. Remove from heat.
  11. Immediately add to prepared fruit; stir 1 min.
  12. or until blended.
  13. Fill all containers immediately to within 1/2 inch of tops.
  14. Wipe off top edges of containers; immediately cover with lids.
  15. Let stand at room temperature 24 hours.
  16. Refrigerate up to 3 weeks or freeze up to 1 year.
  17. (If frozen, thaw in refrigerator before using.)
