Mango Sauce
- 1 large or 2 small mangoes (about 8 ounces/240 g total weight), peeled, pitted, and cut into pieces
- 1 tablespoon water
- 2 to 4 tablespoons (30 to 60 g) sugar
- 2 teaspoons rum
- 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lime juice
- In a food processor fitted with the metal blade or in a blender, puree the mango pieces with the water, 2 tablespoons of the sugar, the rum, and lime juice.
- Taste for sweetness and add more sugar, if desired.
- This sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
