Chocolate-Honey Swirl Cake
- 1 34 cups flour
- 1 12 teaspoons baking powder
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 14 teaspoon clove
- 14 teaspoon allspice
- 12 cup vegetable oil
- 12 cup honey
- 34 cup white sugar
- 14 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 12 cup brewed tea, cooled
- 14 cup orange juice
- 1 12 cups flour
- 13 cup sifted unsweetened cocoa powder
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 12 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup white sugar
- 12 cup brown sugar
- 12 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup cola drink (flat, use Coke Cola for this)
- 12 cup mini chocolate chip (optional)
- grated chocolate, for topping
- Set oven to 350 degrees.
- Generously grease a 10-inch tube pan.
- For the honey batter; in a bowl mix together all the dry ingredients (up to and including the allspice).
- Using a whisk or electric mixer, blend in the oil, honey, white and brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, cooled tea and orange juice; mix well until smooth; set aside.
- For the chocolate batter; in another large bowl combine flour, cocoa, salt, baking powder and baking soda; using a whisk or electric mixer, blend in white and brown sugars, oil, eggs, vanilla and flat Coke-Cola drink; mix until well blended and smooth.
- Mix in the chocolate chips (if using).
- Pour the honey batter into the prepared tube pan, then top with the chocolate batter.
- Bake for about 55-60 minutes, or until the cake tests done.
- Cool about 10 minutes in pan then remove to a serving plate.
- While the cake is still warm sprinkle with grated chocolate and allow to melt.
