Healthy Okara Cookies
- 70 grams Fresh okara
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 Milk
- Mix sugar into the okara.
- Try to crush any okara grains.
- Mix in milk (or water) if it's too dry.
- Spread it out evenly until it is about 2mm thick.
- Use your hands if you need to.
- Make sure it's on the thin side.
- I used a refrigerator egg holder and plastic wrap to create the round cookie shapes.
- Lay on cooking paper and cook in a 500W microwave for about 2 minutes.
- Flip over and cook another 2 minutes.
- (This is for 10 cookies).
- When they cool, they'll become crispy and ready to eat.
- Keep an eye on the cookies and adjust the cooking time according to your microwave.
- Heat until they are crispy.
- In this example, they got burnt a little from baking too much.
- Make sure you keep an eye on them while they are baking.
- Addendum: If you use moist okara (from a local tofu maker), then you won't need to use milk to get the same results.
- Addendum: Cook for 3 minutes in a microwave and then for about 90 seconds in a heated toaster oven until they turn a nice color.
