Simple Turkey Chili Recipe gjobarah
- Splash of olive oil
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 (16 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
- 1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans, drained, rinsed, and mashed.
- 1 (16 ounce) can chili beans
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Splash of hot sauce
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Place turkey in pot and cook until brown.
- Add garlic powder.
- Stir in onion and cook until tender.
- Add water to pot.
- Mix in tomatoes and beans.
- Season with chili powder, oregano, cayenne pepper, cumin, salt and pepper.
- Add hot sauce.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes.
