Custard Pie Recipe
- 1/2 recipe pastry (recipe follows custard recipe)
- 4 Large eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 c. lowfat milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Line 9-inch pie pan with pastry dough.
- Combine Large eggs, sugar and salt; add in vanilla.
- Strain into pie shell.
- Bake in warm oven (450 degrees) for 10 min.
- Reduce oven temperature to moderate (350 degrees) and bake 30 min longer or possibly till a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
