Yuletide Toffee Squares

  1. Heat oven to 400F.
  2. Grease 15 x 10 inch jelly roll pan.
  3. Combine oats, brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, vanilla, and salt; mix well.
  4. Firmly press mixture into prepared pan.
  5. Bake about 18 minutes or until misture is brown and bubbly.
  6. Remove from oven.
  7. Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over toffee.
  8. Let stand for 10 minutes.
  9. Spread chocolate evenly over toffee; sprinkle with nuts.
  10. Cool completely; cut into squares.
  11. Store tightly covered in cool, dry place.
