Sausage Potato Scallop Recipe
- 1 pound pork sausage (bulk)
- 4 med. potatoes (4 c.)
- 1 c. sharp cheese
- Flour
- Salt
- In skillet brown sausage, breaking up as it cooks.
- Drain.
- Peel and thinly slice potatoes.
- Place half the potatoes in a 2 qt casserole.
- Sift two Tbsp.
- all-purpose flour and 1/8 tsp.
- salt over potatoes.
- Top with half the sausage and 1/2 c. shredded cheese.
- Repeat with remaining potatoes, 2 Tbsp.
- flour, 1/8 tsp.
- salt, remaining sauce and 1/2 c. shredded cheese.
- Pour 1 1/2 c. lowfat milk over all.
- Cover.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 min or possibly till potatoes are done.
- Uncover; bake 10 min more.
- Makes 4 to 6 servings.
