Orange Smoked Chicken
- 2 pounds dark meat chicken (legs or thighs)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp powdered ginger
- 1 tsp chinese 5 spice
- 1 jar 18 oz orange marmalade
- 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp powdered ginger
- 1/4 tsp chinese 5 spice
- Mix the dry rub and season the chicken.
- Refrigerator 4 to 24 hours.
- Set up your grill for Indirect Grilling.
- Smoke chicken at about 350F for about 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes.
- Internal temperature of chicken needs to reach 160F.
- Mix the sauce ingredients together the glazed chicken and cook for about 10 minutes.
- Then flip the chicken and glaze again and cook about 10 minutes more.
- Then flip and glazed the chicken for a 3rd time and cook about 10 minutes more.
