Apple & Cream cheese Stuffed French Toast Sticks

  1. In a flat bottomed bowl crack eggs.
  2. And add milk.
  3. Wisk together well.
  4. Place a slice of bread on a plate.
  5. Cut a thin strip of cream cheese and place on one half of the bread slice.
  6. Take one slice of apple from the can of pie filling and place on top of the cream cheese.
  7. Gently fold the bread over and pinch the edges closed a bit.
  8. Spray griddle or frying pan with nonstick spray.
  9. Heat pan until hot.
  10. Roll the bread in the egg mix a few quick times.
  11. Don't let it soak to long.
  12. Gently let excess drip off back into bowl.
  13. Place french toast sticks onto hot griddle.
  14. Cook until browned then flip and cook until browned.
  15. Stand bread on its edge to cook the fat folded end.
  16. If it doesn't stand up on own lean against another one.
  17. :)
  18. Place on serving plate and continue until all the stuff is gone.
  19. You may have leftovers.
  20. Serve hot sprinkled with optional powdered sugar and pancake or maple syrup.
  21. Enjoy!
