Peanut Kiss Blossoms
- 8 ounces Hershey chocolate kisses, unwrapped
- 1 egg
- 12 cup shortening
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 34 cup peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 13 cup sugar
- 1 12 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 13 cup brown sugar, packed
- 12 teaspoon salt
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- Beat shortening and peanut butter till well blended.
- Add *1/2* of the sugar and all of the brown sugar.
- Beat until light and fluffy.
- Add egg, milk and vanilla.
- Beat.
- In a separate bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt.
- Gradually add to the peanut butter mix, blending well.
- Shape the dough into one inch balls and roll each one in the last third of sugar.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes, IMMEDIATELY pressing a kiss into each center as soon as the cookies are finished in the oven.
