Baptist Pound Cake
- 2 sticks butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup crisco oil
- 3 cups sugar
- 6 eggs, room temperature
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 1/2 tsp. orange extract
- 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- Cream together butter, oil and sugar; add eggs one at a time, beating well.
- Mix in milk.
- Sift flour and baking powder together and add to creamed mixture.
- Mix well, scraping bottom and sides of bowl often.
- Add flavorings and pour into a greased and floured 10 cup tube pan.
- Bake at 350F for 1-1/2 hours.
- Do not preheat oven.
