Mom's Refrigerator Cookies Recipe

  1. Beat sugar, shortening and Large eggs till light.
  2. Add in sifted dry ingredients.
  3. Stir in nuts.
  4. Form into logs 1 1/2" across.
  5. Chill.
  6. Slice into 1/8" to 1/4" thick slices.
  7. Bake at 350 to 375 degrees till hard when pressed in center with fingertip.
  8. Great with lowfat milk.
  9. Makes a large batch.
  10. Raw dough can be frzn.
