Vanilla Shortbread Poppers

  1. Heat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Mix flour, cornstarch and salt until blended.
  3. Beat butter, cream cheese and 2/3 cup sugar in large bowl with mixer until blended.
  4. Add vanilla; mix well.
  5. Gradually add flour mixture, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Roll dough into 1/2-inch balls; place, 1/2 inch apart, on parchment-covered baking sheets.
  7. Bake 25 to 28 min.
  8. or until bottoms are golden brown.
  9. Cool on baking sheets 1 min.
  10. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
  11. Place remaining sugar in medium bowl.
  12. Add cookies, in batches; toss to evenly coat with sugar.
  13. Gently shake off excess sugar.
