Three Layered Mint Sticks
- 2 unsweetened chocolate squares
- 12 cup butter
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 dash salt
- 12 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 12 cup flour
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 cup chopped walnuts or 12 cup pecans (optional)
- 2 tablespoons softened butter
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1 tablespoon cream
- 12 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1 ounce unsweetened chocolate
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease 9 in.
- square pan.
- Bottom layer: Melt chocolate and butter.
- Beat eggs until frothy and stir in sugar, chocolate mixture and extract.
- Add salt, flour and nuts.
- Mix well and pour into 9" pan.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Cool.
- Filling: Mix ingredient until fluffy and spread on cooled cake layer.
- Let cool until firm.
- Topping: Melt and drizzle over the firm filling.
- Cool in the refrigeratoe for 15 minutes.
- Using a knife dipped in hot water, cut into strips.
