Southwest Chicken Barbecue

  1. Combine all marinade ingredients in large resealable plastic food bag; add chicken.
  2. Tightly seal bag; turn bag several times to coat chicken well.
  3. Place bag into 13x9-inch pan.
  4. Refrigerate, turning occasionally, 30 minutes.
  5. Heat gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white.
  6. Remove chicken from marinade; drain.
  7. Discard marinade.
  8. Place chicken onto grill.
  9. Grill chicken 12 minutes; turn.
  10. Continue grilling 4-6 minutes or until internal temperature of chicken reaches 165F and juices run clear when pierced with a fork.
  11. Top each chicken breast with 2 pieces cheese.
  12. Continue grilling 1-2 minutes or until cheese begins to melt.
  13. Serve with warm salsa and avocado slices.
