Cornbeef and Cabbage (NY Style)

  1. Wash meat, place in large pot and boil gently for 1 hr.
  2. Drain.
  3. Place meat back in pot with fresh water just to cover.
  4. Add all spices and bullion.
  5. Gently boil 3 more hrs.
  6. Add onion and potatoes, boil 15 mins.
  7. Remove meat and keep warm.
  8. Cut stem from cabbage but Do Not Core.
  9. Cut into eighths, then in half.
  10. Add to pot.
  11. Cook 15 more minutes or until desired doneness.
  12. Slice meat against grain and serve with vegetables.
  13. Don't forget the Broth!
