A Much Improved Hot Artichoke Dip
- 1 can (14 oz.) artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
- 1 can (4 oz.) chopped green chilis
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise (not fat free)
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 clove fresh garlic, crushed
- Black pepper, to taste
- Mix all ingredients well, and place in a flattened dish (a pie plate works well).
- Sprinkle top with additional parmesan cheese and a little black pepper.
- Place under broiler just until the top browns nicely.
- Do not overheat or you will break the dip.
- Serve with melba toast or other similar type cracker or bread sticks.
