Bean Curd With A Spicy Sauce Recipe
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1/2 c. stock
- 1 tsp chili paste with garlic
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 3 x garlic cloves
- 1 tsp fresh ginger
- 3 x scallions
- 1 lb bean curd, cut into 1-inch cube
- Whisk together the sauce ingredients & set aside.
- In a wok, saute/fry garlic & ginger.
- Add in scallions, followed by the tofu.
- Cook for a few min.
- Pour sauce over the sauteed ingredients.
- Mix gently & simmer carefully.
- Let the sauce thicken, stirring gently every now & then.
- Serve over rice.
