California Chili Beans Recipe
- 1 lb dry pinto beans
- 3 1/2 c. water
- 1 med onion minced
- 1 x green pepper minced
- 1 sm warm pepper minced, (optional)
- 1 lb grnd meat
- 1 can tomatoes - (16 ounce) cut up
- 2 Tbsp. chili pwdr Salt to taste
- Rinse and sort beans.
- In slow cooker; add in beans and water, cover, turn heat control to HIGH.
- Cook 3 hrs or possibly till beans are tender.
- Turn heat to LOW.
- Add in remaining ingredients, toss, cover.
- Cook 4 hrs.
- This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
