Apple Cinnamon Waffles With Cider Syrup Recipe
- 2 1/4 c. Bisquick original baking mix
- 1 1/4 c. Lowfat milk
- 2 Tbsp. Sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
- 1 tsp Grnd cinnamon
- 1 x Egg
- 1/2 c. Finely minced peeled all-purpose apple
- 1 c. Sugar
- 3 Tbsp. Bisquick original baking mix
- 1 tsp Grnd cinnamon
- 2 c. Apple cider
- 2 Tbsp. Lemon juice
- 1/2 stk margarine or possibly butter
- PREPARE Cider Syrup; keep hot.
- Heat waffle iron; grease if necessary.
- Beat remaining ingredients except apple with wire whisk or possibly hand beater till smooth.
- Stir in apple.
- POUR batter by scant 1 cupfuls onto center of warm waffle iron.
- BAKE till steaming stops and waffle is golden.
- Carefully remove waffle.
- Serve with syrup.
- Twelve 4-inch squares.
- Cider Syrup: Mix sugar, baking mix and cinnamon in 2-qt saucepan.
- Stir in apple cider and lemon juice.
- Cook, stirring constantly, till mix thickens and boils.
- Boil and stir 1 minute; remove from heat.
- Stir in margarine.
