American Chop Suey/Goulash

  1. .Brown ground beef in olive oil for five minutes.
  2. Add onion, green pepper and garlic and continue browning for five more minutes.
  3. Add two cans of stewed tomatoes, salt and pepper to taste and dried basil.
  4. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until flavors have blended.
  5. Can be served with elbow macaroni, mashed potatoes or rice.
