Cheesy Chowder

  1. In heavy saucepan, cook onion, carrot and celery in butter for 5 minutes.
  2. Blend in paprika.
  3. Add chicken broth.
  4. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered, 10 minutes.
  5. Add the cheeses; stir until melted.
  6. Add cream.
  7. Blend the flour with the milk; add to chowder.
  8. Cook and stir until slightly thickened. Add Worcestershire sauce and pepper.
  9. Ladle into soup bowls; may put under broiler briefly to brown.
  10. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
