Elfie's Drunken Chicken

  1. Prepare an outdoor grill for medium heat, and lightly oil grate.
  2. Rinse chicken and pat dry.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Mix 1/2 cup ranch dressing with 1/2 cup mustard and minced onions.
  5. Coat with ranch style dressing, minced onions and mustard mixture.
  6. Do not waste the beer.
  7. Drink half of beer out of can and refill with remaining ranch style dressing.
  8. If you didn't purchase a beer can stand for the grill (this works best).
  9. Place can on a disposable baking sheet.
  10. Set chicken on beer can (it acts as a stand), inserting can into cavity of the chicken.
  11. Place baking sheet with beer and chicken on the prepared grill.
  12. Cover, and cook about 1 hour, until chicken is no longer pink and juices run clear.
