Pickled Onion & Beet Slices Recipe
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 1/4 c. salad oil
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 med. onion, thinly sliced
- 1 (16 ounce.) can sliced beets, liquid removed
- Lettuce (optional)
- Mix sugar, vinegar, salad oil, salt and pepper.
- Place sliced onion and beets in a bowl.
- Add in vinegar mix.
- Chill for 8 to 12 hrs or possibly overnight.
- Serve on lettuce (optional).
