Squash Pickles

  1. Wash squash.
  2. Cut in 1/4 x 18 inch slices.
  3. Cut onions and pepper the same.
  4. Place in large container.
  5. Sprinkle salt and add ice.
  6. Cover and let stand 3 hours.
  7. Drain and rinse.
  8. Mix sugar, turmeric, mustard, vinegar, celery seed and pepper in a big pot.
  9. Place on medium heat to below boiling point.
  10. Add other ingredients.
  11. Heat the same and place in jars.
