Graham Date Bread Recipe
- 1 1/4 c. unsifted flour
- 1 individual pack graham crackers, finely crushed (about 1 2/3 c. crumbs)
- 1 tbsp. baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 Large eggs
- 1 c. orange juice
- 1 (8 ounce.) pkg. dates, minced
- 1 c. minced walnuts
- Combine flour, crumbs, baking pwdr, salt, cinnamon, butter, sugar, Large eggs and orange juice in large mixing bowl.
- Blend at low speed till dry ingredients are moistened.
- Beat at medium speed 3 min.
- Stir in dates and nuts.
- Bake in a floured 9"x5"x3" loaf pan, about 65 min at 350 degrees.
- Cold 10 min, then remove from pan.
- Makes 1 (9") loaf.
