Healthy meal replacement shake
- 1 tbsp Wheat bran
- 1 tbsp Oat bran
- 1 tbsp Flaxseed
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup strawberries, cherries, mango or pineapple
- 1 cup plain lowfat yogurt
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- Put all ingredients in a blender and blend on smoothie-puree setting.
- Add bran and flaxseed in the bottom of the blender first so they get mixed in well.
- Add 4-5 ice cubes to keep drink chilled.
- For a veggie fiber pick up, add a cup of arugala, spinch or kale and lessen the amount of fruit to taste.
- Tart cherries compliment the veggie taste well.
- Makes about 20 oz serving.
- Keeps me full for about 6.5 hours.
