Ground Meat Soup Recipe
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 1 lg. onion
- 2 quarts. water
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 can tomatoes
- 2-3 stalks celery, sliced
- 2-3 carrots, sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon basil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 1/3 c. barley
- 1 tbsp. beef soup base
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 c. cabbage, minced (optional)
- 1 c. mixed vegetables (optional)
- Noodles
- Fry grnd beef and onion till beef is brown.
- Don't drain.
- Add in water, tomato sauce, tomatoes, celery and carrots.
- Add in basil, garlic pwdr, barley, soup base, salt and pepper.
- For a heartier soup, add in cabbage and mixed vegetables.
- Cook for about 2 hrs.
- When done, add in some noodles.
