Easy Bean Burritos

  1. Preheat the oven or toaster oven to 400F.
  2. Wrap the entire batch of tortillas in foil and warm while you prepare the filling.
  3. Combine the refried beans with 1/4 cup water in a saucepan and heat slowly until hot, stirring occasionally.
  4. Transfer to a serving container.
  5. Place the lettuce and cheese into separate bowls.
  6. Have everyone make his or her own burritos as follows: Spread some of the refried beans down the center of each tortilla, followed by a sprinkling of lettuce, tomatoes, and the optional cheese.
  7. Roll up snugly and eat out of hand.
