Nanci's Birthday Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

  1. Mix dry ingredients.
  2. Add wet ingredients - coffee last (be careful when you add coffee; have mixer on low, it can splash).
  3. Mix well.
  4. Pour into 9 x l3 pan and bake for 25 to 35 minutes.
  5. *CREAM CHEESE FROSTING: Mix until well blended and not lumpy (can add food coloring if desired).
  6. Spread on cooled cake-keep refrigerated.
