Doesn't Taste Like It's Light Alfredo Sauce
- 2 cups fat-free half-and-half
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons butter
- 2 tablespoons onions, FINELY minced
- 2 -3 garlic cloves, pressed
- 12 cup light sour cream (I love Daisy)
- 12 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 18 teaspoon white pepper
- Whisk flour into half-and-half.
- Set aside.
- Melt butter in 2-qt.
- saucepan over medium heat.
- Add onion and garlic; cook and stir for one minute.
- Add half-and-half mixture to saucepan.
- Heat to boiling, stirring frequently.
- Reduce heat to low and whisk in sour cream.
- Cook 1-2 minutes until heated.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in cheese, salt, and pepper.
