Creamy Onions Recipe
- 2/3 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 teaspoon dry Sauterne wine
- 1 (1 ounce.) pkg. white sauce mix
- 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 tbsp. parsley, chopped
- 2 (1 lb.) cans sm. whole onions, liquid removed
- 1/4 c. fine dry bread crumbs
- 2 tbsp. butter, melted
- Pour lowfat milk and wine into white sauce mix; stir slowly.
- Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
- Add in cheese, parsley and season to taste.
- Pour sauce over onions in casserole dish.
- Mix crumbs with butter and sprinkle with onions.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 25 min.
- Makes 6 servings.
