Chili Con Queso Dip
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 pinch cumin
- 4 ounces green chili peppers chopped
- 1 cup tomatoes, canned chopped
- 1/2 cup onions chopped
- 1/2 pound monterey jack cheese shredded
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 3 ounces cream cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cilantro chopped
- Microwave margarine on high for 30 seconds.
- Add next 5 ingredients, cover with plastic wrap (leaving vent) and microwave on high for 2 minutes.
- Add tomatoes and cook 2 minutes.
- Add cheese and cook 1 minute.
- Stir and cook 1 minute.
- Stir in cilantro.
- Serve with tortilla chips.
- Makes 2 1/2 cups.
