Shrimp In Red Sauce Recipe
- 2 pound shrimp (fresh or possibly frzn)
- 1/2 c. oil
- 1 onion (between med. and big)
- 1 green pepper, big
- 1/2 c. parsley
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 can fire roasted pimentos
- 1/2 c. catsup
- 1/2 c. cooking wine
- 1 tbsp. vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon Accent
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Mexican warm sauce (optional)
- 3 garlic cloves
- Clean and wash shrimp (if they are fresh).
- Fry in warm oil till they get a pink color (frzn are already cooked, do not keep them to long frying).
- Add in onion, garlic and green pepper (blender) and fry for 5 min.
- Blender parsley, roasted pimentos with its juice.
- Add in this with tomato sauce, catsup, bay leaf, cooking wine, Mexican sauce, salt, Accent, black pepper and vinegar.
- Cook in low flame for about 25 to 30 min.
- 6 portions.
