Tuna Steaks, Sweet & Sour
- 1-1/2 cup MINUTE Premium White Rice, uncooked
- 1 medium green pepper
- 1 red pepper
- 1 yellow pepper Target 1 pkg For $2.99 thru 02/06
- 1 red onion
- 9 teaspoon canola oil
- 16 ounce tuna fillet or steak, raw
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup canned pineapple chunks (in juice)
- 4 tablespoon
- 2 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 4 ounce orange juice
- 2 tablespoon cornstarch
- Set rice to cook according to package instructions.
- Chop peppers and onion; set both aside in separate bowls.
- Heat oil in large, non-stick skillet over medium heat; add onions and tuna.
- Brown tuna, about 3 minutes per side.
- Add pepper, salt, juice from the pineapple, vinegar and sugar.
- Also, add pineapple and peppers; cover.
- Simmer 7 minutes.
- Blend orange juice and cornstarch into a paste; increase heat.
- Stir into tuna mixture until sauce thickens.
- Serve tuna and vegetable mixture over rice.
