Make Ahead Lasagna
- 1 lb ground beef, cooked and drained
- 1 lb uncooked lasagna noodle
- 12 ounces cottage cheese
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese
- 12 cup parmesan cheese
- 2 (24 ounce) jars spaghetti sauce
- Simmer meat, spaghetti sauce, 1 cup water (or broth) in large pot for 20 minutes, or longer if you desire.
- The longer it cooks, the more flavorful it will become.
- In a 9x13 pan, spread a layer of meat sauce.
- Arrange layer of uncooked noodles on top of sauce, then top with some of each of the cheeses.
- Repeat to fill pan, being sure that the noodles are immersed in sauce.
- Refrigerate several hours or overnight.
- Bake at 350, covered with foil for 45 minutes to an hour.
- Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.
