Garlic Cheese Biscuits

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F.
  2. Mix in salt, garlic, and dry mustard into the flour, using a fork or a whisk to distribute spice.
  3. Cut in bacon lard with pastry cutter until mixture has the texture of cornmeal.
  4. Fold in cheese.
  5. Add milk and mix gently.
  6. Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto a well-buttered cookie sheet.
  7. Brush tops with melted butter.
  8. Bake for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown.
