Smoky Braised Chicken and Gnocchi

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Pat chicken dry with paper towels.
  3. Season with 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
  4. Heat the oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium high heat.
  5. Add the chicken skin side down and cook until the skin is crisp, about 5 minutes.
  6. Turn the chicken and the broth, paprika and onions.
  7. Transfer to the over and cook uncovered for 30 minutes.
  8. Add gnocchi and continue cooking until the gnocchi are cooked through, about 15 minutes.
