Baked Creamed Cabbage Recipe
- 1 med Head cabbage
- 1/2 c. Boiling, salted water
- 3 Tbsp. Butter
- 3 Tbsp. Flour
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
- 1/4 c. Bread crumbs
- Shred cabbage and cook 9 min in boiling, salted water.
- Remove cabbage, drain well, and place in buttered 1-1/2 qt casserole.
- Heat butter in pan, stir in flour and salt; cook till smooth.
- Add in lowfat milk gradually.
- Continue stirring till thick.
- Pour sauce over cabbage and sprinkle bread crumbs over top.
- Bake at 325 for 15 min or possibly till crumbs are brown.
