Butter Pecan Belgian Waffles Recipe
- 2 x Large eggs/separated
- 1 1/2 c. whole lowfat milk
- 2 Tbsp. baking pwdr
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 c. melted butter
- 1/2 c. minced pecans or possibly walnuts.
- Preheat waffle iron.
- Spray iron with Pam or possibly non-stick spray before first waffle.
- Whip egg whites until stiff but not dry.
- Set aside.
- In separate bowl, food processor or possibly blender, combine egg yolks, lowfat milk, baking pwdr, flour & melted butter.
- Beat, till smooth.
- By hand, mix in reserved egg whites & minced pecans.
- Proceed according to waffle iron manufacturer's directions.
- Serve with maple syrup & garnish with pecan halves.
