Sweet-Savory Sauce Spareribs in Pressure Cooker
- 1 kg Spareribs (pork)
- 1/2 Onion
- 1 tsp Grated ginger
- 1 tsp each Grated garlic
- 50 ml Sake
- 60 ml Soy sauce
- 50 ml Mirin
- 50 ml Honey
- 100 ml Water
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1 Salt and pepper
- Put the spareribs, salt and pepper into a bag.
- Rub together lightly and let sit for half an hour.
- Be careful of the bones.
- Grate the onion and combine the ingredients.
- Pour the vegetable oil into a pressure cooker.
- Sear the spareribs over a medium heat to brown the surface lightly.
- Tilt the cooker and soak up the excess oil with paper towels.
- Add the sauce and latch the lid of the pressure cooker.
- After the pressure rises, cook for 15 minutes on low heat.
- Turn the heat off and leave until the pressure drops.
- Take the lid off, cook for about 10 minutes or to your liking.
- The sauce will separate between the oil and onion in time, so scoop the onion and pour over the spareribs.
