My Family's Sweet n' Sour Pork
- 150 grams Pork roast or pork designated for sweet n' sour pork
- 1/4 Onion
- 3 cm Carrot
- 2 Green peppers
- 4 mushrooms Shiitake mushrooms
- 50 ml Vinegar
- 45 ml Ketchup
- 35 ml Maple syrup or honey
- 35 ml Pineapple juice
- 1 tsp Chicken soup stock granules
- 1 water... 2 teaspoons; potato starch...2 teaspoons Katakuriko slurry
- 1 Soy sauce, sesame oil
- Cut the meat into large bite-sized pieces, and cut the vegetables into easy-to-eat sizes.
- Turn it back up to a strong heat for the finishing touches, and add the water-dissolved katakuriko to thicken.
- Add the meat, and drizzle with sesame oil to taste.
- Place the vegetables into a heated pan and saute over strong heat, and add the soup ingredients once the onions are transparent.
- Reduce the heat, and cook through.
- Check the flavor at this point, and add soy sauce to taste.
- Turn it back up to a strong heat for the finishing touches, and add the water-dissolved katakuriko to thicken.
- Add the meat, and drizzle with sesame oil to taste.
- "Extremely Tender!
- Pineapple (Core) Marinade" will make the meat even more tender.
