Pink Poodle

  1. Melt butter in top of double boiler.
  2. Blend in flour, onion, salt, dry mustard, Worcestershire sauce and cayenne.
  3. Gradually stir in milk.
  4. Cook over direct heat until smoothly thickened, stirring constantly.
  5. Remove from heat and gradually stir in tomato juice.
  6. Place over hot, not boiling, water and add cheese.
  7. Stir constantly until cheese is melted.
  8. Serve on toast, with a tossed salad.
