Mud Pie
- CRUST:
- 1 1/3 cups Oreo Baking Crumbs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp. instant coffee granules
- 1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
- FILLING:
- 1/3 cup fudge or butterscotch sundae topping
- 4 cups coffee ice cream (or your favorite flavour of ice cream, sherbet or frozen yogurt), softened
- COMBINE crumbs, sugar, coffee and butter.
- Press evenly over bottom and sides of 9" (1L/23cm) pie plate.
- Bake in oven at 350F (180C) for 8 minutes.
- Cool.
- Drizzle about 2 Tbsp (30mL) fudge topping over crust.
- Mound ice cream into prepared pie crust and freeze until firm.
- Drizzle or spread remaining fudge topping over ice cream.
- Freeze until ready to serve.
- GARNISH with candies, crushed chocolate bars, cookie crumbs, coffee beans or toasted nuts.
