Thrifty Steak And Mushrooms Recipe

• 3 sm. onions, diced
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• 1 c. sliced mushrooms
• 1 tbsp. butter
• Salt & pepper
• 1 1/2 c. water
• 1/3 c. tomato juice
• 1 env. Au Jus gravy mix
• 1 1/4-1 1/2 pound boneless top round steak, cut up

1. Cook onions, garlic and mushrooms in butter.
2. Add in cut up steak.
3. Brown till done.
4. Add in water and tomato juice; stir in gravy mix.
5. Simmer 4 min.
6. Serve over rice or possibly noodles.
7. Serves 4.
