Picante Lentil Sauce (Crock Pot)
- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 14 cup lentils, rinsed
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 12 teaspoon cumin seed
- 1 fresh green chile, minced
- 12 cup medium-hot picante sauce
- Combine the tomatoes, lentils, onions, garlic, sugar, cumin, chili, and picante sauce in an electric slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on LOW until the lentils are tender, 6 to 8 hours.
