Biscuits Or Dumplings Recipe
- 1/8 c. hot water
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. buttermilk
- Mix together in a c. till foamy, these ingredients: sugar, yeast and water; set aside.
- Mix dry ingredients with sugar which's left in bowl, cut in shortening.
- Mix hot buttermilk with yeast mix and add in to dry ingredients.
- Mix well, turn onto floured board, knead lightly, roll out, cut and bake or possibly follow your usual procedure for making the dumpling.
- Bake at 400 degrees till lightly brown.
